Selwyn House turn these cake stands from a single piece of London Plane in their Northamptonshire workshop, part of a limited run in some of the most beautiful timber they've got their hands on. London Plane gives a striking "lacewood" grain, fine flecks and rays that the broad surface of the stand shows off beautifully.

Each stand is turned with a low foot to lift your bakes and a fine rim to keep them in place on the way to the table, then finished with a food-safe, durable hard-wax oil. There's also a special-edition cake knife, the perfect set to gift or keep.

Each one is different, so the grain of the stand you receive will vary a little from the photos. Wipe clean only and dry straight away to preserve the finish. Not suitable for the dishwasher or immersing in water.
